Warm & Savory Beef dish
With cooler temperatures coming and a change of seasons I don't know about you but I'm starting to crave more of those warm spicy flavors in my cooking
I made this earlier this week and it turned out really well and thought I would share. It would go great with rice, roasted potatoes, or even fresh naan bread (which is what I had with it for lunch). You could even top it with a bit of greek yogurt too!!
Hope you enjoy it.
You’ll find I like to keep my recipe sharing simple and easy! If you’re anything like me, I really just want the recipe.
So here it is below…
The recipe
*makes 3-4 servings
1lb gr beef (or lamb)
1 onion chopped (I used a large shallot)
1 zucchini
1cup green peas
2 cloves of garlic microplaned or minced
2tbs tomato paste
2 tsp garam masala
2tsp fresh minced ginger
1tsp fresh turmeric puree
1-2 drops of doTERRA cumin or 1tsp ground cumin
Steps:
Start cooking the beef first.
Once it’s almost fully cooked I added the onion and let that cook a few minutes until they start to soften.
Next, toss in the remaining ingredients and reduce heat to medium-low until the zucchini is cooked but still firm!
Serve over rice, with naan bread or roasted potatoes/veggies.
Tip for the ginger and turmeric:
*for these last two I buy the jars vs the roots so that they don’t dry out
**also, if using ground/powder cut in half as they’re usually stronger ie. 2 tsp fresh = 1tsp ground powder
